Job Description
Tesla's Engineering Test Team seeks a Vibration and Structural Test Technician in Tilburg, Netherlands. Responsibilities include setting up, inspecting, and conducting component and system-level vibration, strength, and durability tests on Tesla vehicle sub-systems. This involves utilizing in-house and external test equipment, collaborating with engineers to resolve issues, meticulously documenting findings, and providing regular test status updates. The role requires hands-on experience with test setup, execution, and equipment maintenance, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in a vibration or structural lab is a plus but not mandatory. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

What to ExpectWhat You’ll Bring
In this position, you will work as a member of Tesla’s Engineering Test Team to support vehicle sub-system testing for vibration, strength and durability. The primary objective of this role is to setup, inspect and conduct component and system level tests in accordance with Tesla procedures using in-house or external test equipment.
What You’ll Do- Support vibration tests on electrodynamic shaker tables for various sub-systems used in Tesla vehicles
- Support sub-system strength and durability tests at 3rd party test labs for structural components such as castings, body in white, sub-frames and suspension etc.
- Conduct detailed inspections of the sub-systems as per Tesla standards and procedures & document and report issues identified during test or inspections
- Collaborate with engineers to resolve issues discovered
- Provide detailed written and verbal test status updates to key stake holders during weekly meetings
- Support engineering teams in instrumentation and data acquisition setup and logging for these tests
- Needs to be hands on with test setup, execution and performing general test equipment maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Previous experience as an Engineering technician
- Experience in vibration lab or structural lab is a plus but not required
- Experience with fabrication equipment (e.g. Band Saw, Drill Press)
- Analytical problem solving & root cause analysis skills
- Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience with MS office tools (Outlook/Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Project)
- Desire to learn about testing, work on new tests and equipment. Ability to deal with ambiguity
