Job Description

As a UX Designer for YouTube Shopping at Google, you'll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver creative solutions. You'll communicate the user experience through wireframes, flow diagrams, and prototypes, integrating user feedback and business requirements into product updates. Responsibilities include advocating for design-centered improvements and working across multiple platforms (desktop, Android, iOS). The role requires a deep understanding of user-centered design, technical constraints, and excellent communication skills. You will be working within a multi-disciplinary team to create intuitive and engaging user experiences for YouTube's shopping features.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
4+ years in product design or UX
Cross-platform design experience
Wireframing, prototyping skills
Collaboration with technical and design teams

Good to have:

Master's degree in related field
Experience in cross-functional organization
Project leadership experience
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong communication and influence skills

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience in product design or UX.
Experience designing across multiple platforms, and working with technical/design teams to create user flows, wireframes, and building user interface mockups and prototypes.
Include a portfolio, website, or any other link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization.
1 year of experience leading design projects.
Ability to lead and ideate products and improve features within a user-centered design process.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with knowledge of technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile (e.g., Android and iOS).
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence product design strategy.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide creative solutions.
Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or high fidelity prototypes.
Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates.
Advocate for the prioritization of design centered changes, refinements, and improvements.
