This contract role as a Technical SEO Product Manager with Onward Search involves optimizing the technical SEO health of a multi-national hospitality company's website. Responsibilities include overseeing technical SEO requirements (HTML, JavaScript, server-side rendering), collaborating with development teams to improve structured data and Core Web Vitals, diagnosing and resolving issues in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, conducting regular technical SEO audits (JetOctopus, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog), and performing competitor analysis. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in technical SEO, preferably in eCommerce, travel, or hospitality, and be proficient in SEO tools and relevant technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS). This is a 12-month+ contract opportunity with fully remote work flexibility.

We are currently seeking a skilled Technical SEO Product Manager (Contract) for a multi-national hospitality company to join their dynamic SEO Product Management Team. In this role, you will play a key part in optimizing the technical SEO health of the client's website, collaborating with Product, Development, and Analytics teams to drive SEO visibility and increase organic traffic.

This is a 12-month+ contract opportunity with the flexibility of fully remote work. As a Technical SEO Product Manager, you will have the chance to apply your expertise in a fast-paced and impactful role within a renowned industry leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure the client’s website meets all technical SEO requirements, focusing on optimizing HTML, JavaScript, and server-side rendering to enhance search engine and page performance.
  • Collaborate with Development Teams to improve technical SEO, including enhancing structured data, mobile-friendliness, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues identified in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, such as crawl errors, page indexation issues, and more.
  • Identify, prioritize, and fix SEO-impacting issues like 404 errors, 500 errors, and broken internal links.
  • Conduct regular technical SEO audits using tools like JetOctopus, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
  • Perform technical SEO competitor analysis to uncover opportunities, best practices, and areas for improvement.

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical SEO, preferably within eCommerce, travel, or hospitality industries, managing large, complex websites.
  • Proven experience working with agile development processes and within cross-functional product management teams.
  • Expertise in technical SEO best practices including crawlability, indexation, structured data, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and more.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and server-side optimization techniques, as well as site speed performance and mobile-first design.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and provide actionable insights; proficiency in Excel required. Bonus points for Python knowledge.

To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week, and the length of your assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
