Salary: $65,000 (Ontario) annually or $90,000 (Nunavut)
Pinnguaq Association is looking for a Technical Sales Writer to join our Sustainable Funding Team. The Technical Sales Writer will be working hand-in-hand with our Social Enterprise Division and our Fundraising Division to create compelling technology-tailored RFP responses and proposals to help us secure diverse new funding opportunities. Examples of these technologies could include; Website, Mobile App and Game Design and Development.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in integrating technical writing for Proposals and RFP responses for projects such as:
- Website Design and Development
- Learning Management Systems and other training platforms
- Mobile App Design and Development
- Design and Development of Games and Interactives into high-quality Develop and maintain expertise in technical writing related to organizational learning content, including:
- Coding and game design processes
- Skill and competency focused programs that integrate technical project components like the examples above.
- Create compelling cases and proposals focused on product and training program development and distribution in sectors such as:
- Manufacturing and product assembly
- 3D design/production
- CNC fabrication
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to source and create content for writing technology-focused proposals and RFP responses across federal, provincial, municipal and industry channels
- Persuasively communicate our organization’s mission and programs to potential funders, utilizing existing and developing new content as necessary
- Lead the coordination of RFP response requirements, managing proposal status throughout the sales cycle
- Ensure clarity and accuracy of proposal information, adhering to plain language and accessibility standards
- Compile supplemental materials including letters, executive summaries, full proposals, budgets and presentations
- Manage inquiries from funders and participate in bidder conferences and information sessions to stay updated
- Maintain high-quality results by using templates, adhering to proposal-writing standards for readability, consistency, and tone, and contributing to databases
- Establish and nurture relationships with clients, funder contacts, program officers, and community stakeholders
Attributes and Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Education or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years proven experience in technical writing
- 3+ years proven experience writing and responding to complex, high-value government opportunities, clients and partners
- Familiarity with any of LMS, Web Development, App, Game Development, Interactives, Software/Hardware, Creative Design, Coding, Manufacturing, 3D printing, CNC fabrication, product assembly, distribution and shipping models and related training
- Contact management using CRMs such as Monday CRM, Experience working with Mailchimp
- A deep understanding of government strategies, RFP and Tender portals, application formats, and requirements.
- Ability to work independently and remotely to manage timelines
- Experience within rural, remote and Indigenous communities in Canada is an asset.
- Fundraising experience within a not for profit, charity or social enterprise setting is an asset.
