Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager for Silicon IP Development at Google, you'll lead complex projects from inception to completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners. You will manage the development and delivery of security, multimedia, and compute IPs for custom silicon projects, working with engineering teams across different geographies. Responsibilities include coordinating with IP vendors, tracking project status, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring projects meet schedules and KPIs. You'll need experience in program management, working with silicon core IP, and managing cross-functional projects, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills. The role involves close interaction with internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring successful product development and timely releases.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience working with Technical Program Managers for Silicon Core IP and with engineering teams to develop and deliver security, multimedia, compute IP (Tensor) to custom silicon projects.
  • Experience working with engineering teams in different geographies to manage deliveries of Security, Compute (GPU/ISP) IPs across various SoC projects to meet SoC schedules with right power purchase agreement (PPA) KPIs.
  • Experience working with Internet Protocol (IP) vendors to meet the needs of the various teams working on these IPs and solve issues.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience working with engineering teams in communicating project status to internal stakeholders.
  • Experience working with partners on product development schedules, dependencies and budgets.
  • Ability to identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution.
  • Ability to interface between partners and product engineering teams, setting and managing schedules and milestones.

Google's Pixel Technical Carrier Relations team helps solve mobile technology problems. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to develop solutions for strategic partners globally. You will maintain relationships and build solutions for our long-term partners who are making Pixel great. As a Technical Program Manager, you will be the key interface between Carriers and the Pixel team and drive product and platform releases. You will coordinate with external teams and partner test labs, ensure all issues are tracked and report back to internal test and development teams. You will apply detailed technical knowledge of wireless standards to drive resolution to issues found during certification testing.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

  • Support and drive the carrier and industry approvals of wireless devices.
  • Report project status, prioritize feature planning and tasks, drive issue resolution to completion.
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution.
  • Work in the Consumer Electronics industry which specifically involves executing technical programs with external partnerships.
