Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager for Google's Quantum AI team, you'll manage multi-disciplinary quantum computing projects throughout their lifecycle. This involves planning project requirements and roadmaps, managing schedules and budgets, demand forecasting, and vendor management to support hardware and software development. You will anticipate and solve issues, manage dependencies, and identify needs for tool or process improvement. Strong communication skills are vital for documenting and conveying plans, timelines, and results to the team. The role requires working with superconducting qubits in a collaborative software environment and experience managing cross-functional projects. Success involves supporting research teams focused on calibration and measurements, enabling hardware and software development, and ensuring the timely completion of projects.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent experience
5 years program management experience
Manage project schedules and budgets
Support Quantum AI research teams

Good to have:

Master's or PhD in Physics/Electrical Engineering
Experience with superconducting qubits
Python coding experience
Cross-functional project management experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in program management.

Experience working with superconducting qubits in a collaborative software environment.

As Technical Program Manager for the Quantum AI team, you will manage multi-disciplinary quantum computing projects through the entire project life-cycle using engineering knowledge. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners across the organization.

The full potential of quantum computing will be unlocked with a large-scale computer capable of complex, error-corrected computations. Google Quantum AI's mission is to build this computer and unlock solutions to classically intractable problems. Our roadmap is focused on advancing the capabilities of quantum computing and enabling meaningful applications.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Support Quantum AI research teams focused on calibration and measurements by planning project requirements and roadmaps, managing project schedule, managing budget, demand forecasting, and vendor management to enable hardware and software development.
Anticipate issues and propose solutions, manage dependencies and cross-functional interfaces, and identify the need to develop or improve tools or processes.
Document and communicate work plans, timelines, and results to the broader team.
