The Role

The N-Tech Systems Engineering team at Netflix is dedicated to enhancing the employee experience, collaboration, and productivity for our global workforce and support teams. As a centralized engineering team, our mission is to assist Netflix employees in their work by eliminating friction, simplifying workflows through increased automation, and offering technical solutions. This enables our employees to concentrate on delivering compelling stories to our members worldwide. In this role, you will focus on engineering solutions for our Enterprise SaaS applications, such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zendesk, and JIRA/Confluence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop tools and services to support Netflix Enterprise SaaS Applications as a member of the N-Tech Systems Engineering team.

  • Implement and enforce security policies, access controls, and group memberships within our Enterprise SaaS applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet stakeholder and business needs.

  • Maintain and document services owned by the team to ensure runbooks and processes are current.

  • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation, addressing operational questions during business hours and being available for emergency pages during off-hours.

  • Stay informed on the latest trends and technologies within the N-Tech Systems Engineering service portfolio.

Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Proven experience in developing productivity solutions for SaaS applications such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zendesk, JIRA/Confluence.

  • Proficiency in administering Linux systems in a production environment.

  • Working knowledge of utilizing APIs for integration and ETL automation.

  • Strong background in designing scalable, reliable, and efficient systems, including an understanding of trade-offs in system design, fault tolerance, recovery, and best practices in distributed systems.

  • Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages, including but not limited to Python, JavaScript, or Go.

  • Capability to apply well-established enterprise standards, processes, and procedures to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of engineering projects.

  • Competence in managing and maintaining AWS infrastructure to support production systems.

  • Understanding of SDLC and project management frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, and iterative methodologies.

Nice To Have: 

  • Familiarity with directory services and cloud identity providers such as Okta and Google.

  • Proficiency in creating technical documentation that effectively communicates business impact.

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines for code deployment in a production environment.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 - $720,000

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs.  Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
