Red Games is seeking an experienced Sr. YouTube Channel Manager to oversee the creative and operational aspects of our Main Channel on YouTube. This role is pivotal in ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality scripted content that aligns with our brand’s mission of changing lives through storytelling. The ideal candidate will have recent scale success on YouTube, a strong background in dramatic writing, digital content production, track record of leading series to creative and audience growth, and the ability to manage the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced YouTube production schedule. You will provide the vision, passion and expertise to ensure our channel continues to grow and super serve our audience and mission.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Content Creation strategy and writing and optimizing titles, descriptions, and tags for discoverability.
  • Monitoring comments on YouTube for community engagement.
  • Tracking, reporting, and analyzing the performance of YouTube channels for strategic growth.
  • Coordinating YouTube collaborations, cross-promotional activities, and influencer assessments.
  • Staying informed of YouTube algorithm updates, industry trends, and new features.
  • Ensure timely delivery of finished content that aligns with the ministry goals, brand voice, and creative vision.
  • Paid Media / Performance Marketing Strategy and Operations specific to YouTube.
  • Data Analysis and Competitor Analysis.
  • YouTube Optimization strategy and Copyright strategy and management.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience working with YouTube channels.
  • Detailed working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Passion for creating impactful and sharable content for our online audience.
  • YouTube Certified in Audience Growth and/or very familiar with best practices for SEO discoverability.
  • Expert time and project management skills to handle multiple assignments and complete complex jobs under deadline pressure.
  • Strong ability to work in a fast-paced video production environment while maintaining production standards and efficiency.
  • Meticulous attention to quality, detail, and project organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially the ability to write in a clear, concise, professional manner.
  • Interest in, and knowledge of, kids games and channels.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • A/B testing and optimization software. (E.g. TubeBuddy, VidIQ.)
  • YouTube Content ID and digital rights management workflows.
  • Appreciation of, and familiarity with, Kids gaming.
