Netflix's game development studio seeks a Sr. Manager of Strategic Operations & Project Management. This pivotal role reports to the VP and focuses on driving project success, cross-functional team alignment, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include strategic advising, cross-departmental collaboration, stakeholder relationship management, comprehensive project planning (including timelines and risk mitigation), agenda prioritization, report creation, and management of strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, experience in game development or technology, and excellent communication and leadership abilities.

We are looking for a versatile operator and strategic leader to join our game development studio as a Senior Manager, Strategic Operations and Project Management. This role will report to the VP, Games Technology and Portfolio Development and is pivotal in driving the success of our game development projects while also providing critical support to our leadership team.You will be responsible for overseeing project execution, aligning cross-functional teams, and enhancing operational efficiency within the studio. Your strategic insight and organizational prowess will ensure that our projects are delivered seamlessly and that our studio operates at peak performance, contributing directly to our mission of creating engaging and innovative games.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Senior Manager, Strategic Operations and Project Management, you will:

  • Act as a strategic advisor to the leadership team, helping to shape and execute the studio’s strategic initiatives.

  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to ensure alignment with the studio's goals and objectives, while optimizing operational processes for increased efficiency.

  • Foster and maintain strong stakeholder relationships by creating the mechanisms which enable effective decision-making and problem-solving across the studio.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans that include timelines, resource management, and risk mitigation strategies, while facilitating communication across the organization.

  • Manage, prioritize, and curate agendas and topics that require timely decision making and analysis. 

  • Prepare and oversee the creation of presentations, reports, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and precision.

  • Manage strategic initiatives as directed by executive leadership, leveraging your insight and expertise to drive them to success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management of production leadership, ideally within the game development or technology sector.

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic operations or similar roles is advantageous.

  • Strong grasp of game development processes and methodologies, with excellent organizational and leadership skills.

  • Outstanding communication abilities and a knack for facilitating collaboration in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Proactive problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.

  • Familiarity with game development tools and software.

  • Knowledge of agile and scrum methodologies.

  • Passion for gaming and a solid understanding of industry trends.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top-of-market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $160,000 - $450,000.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs.  Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
