Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineering MTS in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties:  Responsible for the high availability of a large fleet of clusters running various technologies like Kubernetes, docker, software load balancers, zookeeper, service mesh, istio and so on. Solve real production issues, expanding your knowledge of the architecture of k8s ecosystem services and internals. Contribute code wherever possible to drive improvement. Automate efforts in Python/Golang/Puppet/Jenkins to eliminate manual work with day to day operations. Create improvements to CI/CD pipelines built on Terraform, Spinnaker, and Argo. Help improve the platform visibility by implementing vital monitoring and metrics with Prometheus, Grafana, and other monitoring frameworks. Implement self-healing mechanisms to fix issues to reduce manual labor proactively. Evaluate new technologies to tackle problems as needed. ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required. 

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Networking, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field. 

A related technical degree required (Computer Networking, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) GoLang; (2) Ansible and Jenkins (2 years); (3) Terraform; (4) Spinnaker (1 year); (5) Experience in SRE/Devops/Systems Engineering roles (2 years); (6) Experience operating large scale distributed systems (2 years); (7) Linux Operating System (2 years); (8) Container based orchestration services; (9) Docker (2 years); (10) AWS Public Cloud: (2 years); and (11) Automation tools / scripting - Python, Shell script.

Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Salary: $155,605.00 - $196,000.00 per annum.
