Job Description

As a Silicon Validation Engineer at Google, you'll be part of a team developing custom silicon solutions for Google's products. Responsibilities include developing and executing test procedures to validate new silicon functionality, debugging failures with cross-functional teams (Silicon, Boards, Software, Manufacturing), providing regular updates on silicon health, planning and executing tests to validate CPU subsystems and system-level integration, and validating designs on pre-silicon and post-silicon platforms. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3 years of experience with test and debug infrastructure or test/lab automation using scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, or Tcl).
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • 3+ years experience in test/debug infrastructure
  • Experience with scripting languages (Perl, Python, Tcl)
  • Develop and execute test procedures
  • Debug failures with cross-functional teams
Good to have:
  • Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Experience with computer architecture

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications:
