Job Description

As a Senior Visual Designer, you'll design visually appealing and engaging user experiences for AI Search in India. You'll work to reimagine the search experience with a design dynamically responding to user intents using a Large Language Model (LLM). Responsibilities include evolving design frameworks, defining asset management tools and processes, exploring concept development, advocating for Google products, and partnering with visual programs to apply new design styles. You'll collaborate with leads, leverage principal contributors, and work across programs to achieve cohesive offerings across Google products. The role involves shaping the future of AI Search and impacting billions of users globally.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
6+ years in product design or UX
Experience with design systems and tools (Figma, Photoshop, etc.)
Experience in illustration, animation, or motion graphics
Excellent visual and interaction design skills

Good to have:

8+ years experience in product design or UX
Cross-platform design experience
Collaboration with user researchers, content strategists, and engineers
Knowledge of user-centered design methodologies
Mastery of visual and interaction design tools

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of experience in product design or UX.
Experience implementing visual design systems across platforms in an iterative software development environment, applying design tools (e.g., Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch).
Experience in one or more of the following disciplines: illustration, animation, motion graphics, creative direction, prototyping.
Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications:

8 years of experience in product design or UX.
Experience designing across multiple platforms, working with technical/design teams to create user flows, wireframes, and building user interface mockups and prototypes.
Experience collaborating with user researchers, content strategists, product managers, and engineers.
Knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, and a good understanding of usability.
Ability to design a portfolio showing mastery of visual and interaction design tools and ability to work within a technical environment and understanding of technical requirements and limitations.
Excellent core visual and interaction design skills.

In this role, you will design with craft and quality, to create visually appealing and engaging user experiences that shape the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Search in India. You will help re-imagine how the overall search experience can have a more opinionated design that dynamically responds to user intents towards a new Large Language Model (LLM) powered Search Experience, that looks and feels tailor-made for Indians.

Responsibilities

Evolve the notion of framework by collaborating with other leads to form a cohesive offering across Google products.
Work across programs to define, maintain, and evolve the tools, processes, and communication around asset management.
Leverage principal contributors to explore concept development to influence product, a point-of-view around visual style, and product commitments.
Advocate for Google products and its unique value proposition within the broader Google ecosystem.
Partner with visual programs within our organization to evolve and apply new design styles and aesthetics for our suite of products.
