G5 Games seeks an experienced Web UX Researcher (remote) to generate research hypotheses, conduct usability testing, and plan user research strategies. Responsibilities include designing surveys, conducting UX benchmarking, maintaining a user knowledge base, collaborating with cross-functional teams, interpreting data, presenting findings, and developing product improvement solutions. The ideal candidate possesses at least two years of UX research experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate research into actionable recommendations. Experience in game development UX research is a plus. The role involves working closely with stakeholders and promoting the value of UX research within the product development process.

G5 Games is a game developer and publisher headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. We have over 900+ talented professionals worldwide who work remotely in one of our 10 locations. More than 20 years ago, the company became one of the first mobile game developers in the world. 

You may know us from hit projects like Sherlock, Hidden City®, Mahjong Journey®, The Secret Society®, the Jewels series, and many others. 

We are currently looking for an experienced: Web UX Researcher (remote).

What you will work on: 

  • Generate research hypotheses, conduct usability testing and product research.
  • Plan and implement user research strategies and methodologies.
  • Organize studies with respondents.
  • Design and conduct surveys and questionnaires.
  • Conduct UX Benchmarking.
  • Update and maintain the user knowledge base.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate topics, and prioritize research.
  • Interpret research data, prepare conclusions and present results to the team and stakeholders.
  • Based on the results of the research, develop solutions for product improvement together with the team. Participate in the Design Demo.
  • Promote the importance of UX research and the positive impact it has on the product development process.

It’s important to us:

  • At least two years of UX research experience.
  • Ability to communicate research results clearly to project teams.
  • Experience in UX research in game development area would be a big plus.
  • Ability to analyze research results and translate them into recommendations for product improvement.
  • Ability to perform all research-related tasks, including hypothesis formulation, choice of research methods, planning, evaluation, and iteration.
  • In-depth knowledge in the areas of user experience, interaction design and user-centric design.
  • Ability to collaborate efficiently with stakeholders and act as a strategic partner in product decision making.
  • Experience with user testing tools.
  • Commitment to creative problem solving and a positive attitude.
  • Great time-management skills.
  • English proficiency: C1.
    The main language in the company is Russian, but research will need to be done in English.
  • Desire to develop and improve your skills, willingness to learn new articles and core literature.
