Our client is a leading company in providing workplace solutions to businesses ranging from small offices to large corporations, dedicated to creating innovative digital products that enhance user experiences and drive business success. 
Now we're seeking a talented and experienced Senior UX/UI Designer to join the team and contribute to our exciting projects across 8 European websites.

As a UX/UI Designer, you'll play a key role in shaping the user experience and interface of our digital products. You'll create visual and interaction design concepts, user flows, wireframes, functional mock-ups, and developer-ready specifications. You'll feel comfortable working alone and collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Business Analysts, Front & Back-End Web Developers, Marketing and other stakeholders. You'll understand user needs, define design strategies, deliver visually appealing, intuitive and functional user interfaces. Your expertise in user-centred design principles and ability to balance aesthetics with usability will be pivotal in creating the optimal experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

User Research & Analysis

  • Participate in user research and testing, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, alongside the User Research team, to gain insights, understand behaviors and preferences that support improvements
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative findings and translate into actionable designs that improve user experience
  • Identify and define user personas, user flows, and journey maps to inform and support design decisions
  • Formulate clear strategies for components, sections and journeys based on research and analysis

Interaction Design & Wireframing

  • Create wireframes, prototypes and interactive mock-ups to effectively communicate design concepts and user interactions
  • Demonstrate knowledge and/or experience with Design Thinking
  • Provide UX and UI evaluations of Viking' existing and new web-based products
  • Develop information architecture, navigation models and interaction models that align with user needs and business goals
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure feasibility and implementation of design concepts

Visual Design & Development

  • Demonstrate an ability to come up with innovative ideas, solve problems creatively and shape these into visually compelling, aesthetically pleasing, and intuitive user interfaces that center around customer needs
  • Complete UX design work that adheres to best practice, based on brand guidelines and design systems 
  • Create high-fidelity UI designs, including layouts, typography, color schemes, and iconography
  • Expand on Viking’ Design System by improving or adding components, and clearly documenting 
  • Support an agile design delivery process alongside Product Owners, Business Analysts, Front & Back-End Web Developers, Marketing and other stakeholders to ensure accurate implementation of designs and maintain design consistency throughout the product lifecycle
  • Put together the UX/UI storyboard, alongside the wider team

Usability Testing and Iteration

  • Conduct usability tests and gather user feedback to validate design decisions and identify areas for improvement
  • Iterate and refine designs based on user feedback, usability findings, and data-driven insights
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging UX/UI technology trends

Relationship Building, Team Collaboration and Leadership

  • Work with stakeholder groups within Viking', collaborating as cross-functional teams with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Front & Back-End Web Developers, Marketing and other stakeholders, to align design objectives across channels and with Viking' eCommerce and commercial goals
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth
  • Champion user-centred design principles and advocate the importance of UX/UI design within the organisation
  • Work cross-functionally to define and deliver product experiences

Requirements:

  • Higher vocational degree with 2-4 years of relevant Experience in UI and interaction design for enterprise level web and mobile products in an eCommerce environment
  • Strong background and constantly up-to-speed on current UX/UI principles and best practices
  • Superb communication and social skills to convey design concepts clearly across the organisation 
  • Proven ability of capturing business requirements and objectives, successfully translating them into designs that meet customer needs
  • Confidence working on complex web applications with B2B and B2C focused product UX/UI
  • Experience developing platform agnostic and responsive product interfaces
  • Familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript concepts and modern browser capabilities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines
  • Familiarity with variety of user research techniques
  • Experience working in an agile delivery environment alongside web development teams, and in a highly collaborative manner
  • Strong working knowledge of tools such as Figma, Sketch, Abstract, Miro, and associated design and wire-framing tools
  • Demonstrable UX skills with a strong portfolio demonstrating wireframes, user flows, and research
  • Knowledge of design frameworks such as bootstrap
  • A pro-active, determined person, with a desire to work within a cross-functional team
  • Fluent knowledge of English, spoken and written. Other language skills would be a distinct advantage
  • Understanding of CRO techniques, skills in designing and refining elements to boost conversion rates, such as checkout flows, registration, and call-to-action placements would be a plus
