As a Senior Staff Product Manager - Security at Infoblox, you'll lead the development and strategic direction of the Threat Defense product line. This hybrid role involves collaborating with various departments (Customer Assurance, Sales, Engineering, etc.) to ensure timely product delivery. Responsibilities include defining product strategy, conducting market research, translating insights into product features, overseeing the product lifecycle, prioritizing roadmap items, and serving as a product evangelist. You'll work closely with teams to meet product objectives and gather customer feedback to enhance solutions. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, along with deep understanding of cybersecurity technologies.
Must have:
  • 15+ years experience, 5+ years in product management (cybersecurity preferred)

We are looking for a Senior Staff Product Manager - Security located in Santa Clara, CA to join our Security Product Management team, reporting to the senior director of Products Management. In this hybrid role, you will lead the development and strategic direction of our Threat Defense product line. You will work closely with all departments, including Customer Assurance, Customer Success, Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and IT to ensure on-time and successful delivery of our security products and solutions. You will also play a pivotal role in protecting businesses from cyber threats and contribute to developing cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions. This role operates in a flexible hybrid work environment, working in our Santa Clara office two days a week. 

You are the ideal candidate if you are a leader who can blend technical expertise, market insight, and a passion for innovation to deliver products that meet our customers' needs. You have excellent business and technical acumen and can create and drive strong relationships across multiple teams. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Define and articulate the product strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and market needs 
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive product development from concept to launch, setting clear goals and milestones
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities in the cybersecurity landscape 
  • Translate insights into product features and enhancements that deliver unique value to our customers
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through development, launch, and iteration 
  • Prioritize product features and roadmap items based on customer feedback, competitive analysis, and market dynamics
  • Work closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, and Support teams to ensure product objectives are met 
  • Serve as the product evangelist, articulating the product's value proposition to both internal stakeholders and external audiences
  • Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback and understand their security challenges 
  • Incorporate feedback into product development to ensure solutions meet customer needs and exceed expectations

What you’ll bring:

  • 15+ years of work experience with at least 5 years of experience in a product management role, ideally for cybersecurity products
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity technologies, trends, and best practices
  • Ability to grasp complex technical issues and translate them into clear, actionable product strategies
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for identifying market opportunities and challenges
  • Ability to capture and articulate business problems, ideas, requirements, and strategy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience delivering excellent results with geographically distributed teams
  • Self-starter mentality and a high motivation to take your career to the next level
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent; advanced degrees or cybersecurity certifications are a plus

What success looks like:  

After six months, you will…

  • Be fully engaged in the Product Management, Architecture, and Engineering teams
  • Have a detailed vision, roadmap, and execution plan for the Threat Defense product line
  • Determine a coordinated go-to-market plan in conjunction with other stakeholders 

After about a year, you will…

  • Have an extensive, detailed backlog of product development features based on the long-term product strategy
  • Develop a product expansion strategy that provides a long-term roadmap based on market, competitive, and industry analysis 
  • Own and drive roadmap execution and delivery for those services

Please keep in mind that the range mentioned is the base salary range for the role. The typical base salary range for this position in Santa Clara, CA is $187,700 - $286,000 plus corporate bonus potential.
