Job Description

The Opportunity:
Do you UNO? The Global Packaging and Omnichannel Creative team is a group of passionate and inspired designers with the goal of creating outstanding packaging and creative assets for the best toys on earth!  Join our team as a Senior Designer specializing in Games and Collectible Card Packaging, where you'll help captivating the unique gameplay experiences and bring innovative visual communication to life for premium games and trading card collectibles. We’re seeking a passionate, detail-oriented designer who combines a love for game design with technical expertise in print and packaging. Your work will directly enhance player engagement, consumer retail experience, creating collectible and display-worthy packaging for Games premium portfolio that resonates with fans and collectors alike.

 

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Design and execute packaging solution for collectible card games, premium trading cards, and other game-focused products, championing the user experience and collector appeal.
  • Knowledge of print production and working experience with global team.
  • Able to manage the development of complex, print-ready, organized, sharable files to support cross-functional collaboration and efficient design updates.
  • Collaborate with licensors to integrate third-party IP style guides, ensuring brand alignment and unique storytelling through packaging.
  • Guide photo retouching, digital manipulation, and art direction with illustrators to elevate visual impact and build excitement for each game.
  • Engage in game design discussions, leveraging your industry insight to enhance packaging relevance for gameplay and collectible value.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years in packaging design, ideally with a focus on games, trading cards, or collectibles.
  • Expert-level skills in Adobe Creative Suite especially in photoshop and illustrator.
  • High aesthetic in typography, color management, composition, and visual communication.
  • Knowledge in special printing techniques like foil stamping, specialty substrates, and materials to elevate the look and feel of collectible game packaging.
  • Passion for the games industry, with a specific interest in collectible cards and game-based storytelling.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills, with a team-oriented approach to collaborative work across different functions.  
  • Ability to manage and execute high complexity print file with strong file organization.
  • Background in game design and an understanding of player engagement through packaging design.
  • Experience art-directing illustrators, with a talent for translating game themes into visually compelling assets.
  • Able to utilize AI tool for concept and ideation.
  • Love UNO!

 

The annual base salary range for this position is between $76,800.00 and $110,000.00

**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
