Job Description

Netflix seeks a Senior Manager, Ads Measurement in Sydney, Australia. Responsibilities include collaborating with the ads measurement team (globally and within APAC), product and data engineering to implement the measurement roadmap. This role requires partnering with Ads Marketing and Sales to deliver data insights to clients and agencies, engaging with measurement partners, and developing full-funnel measurement solutions. The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience in media measurement within TV, streaming, or digital video companies, or media measurement firms, possessing expertise in MMMs, lift solutions, and cross-media reach planning. They must be a self-starter adept at managing large-scale projects, knowledgeable about the advertising landscape, and skilled in quantitative and qualitative methodologies.

The core Advertising team is charged with building a new, best-in-class ads organization to establish Netflix as the premiere platform for advertiser partners, and to drive advertising revenue. The measurement team is responsible for building audience insights and measurement solutions from the ground up, partnering closely with data science, consumer insights, product and sales to understand core customer needs and develop both foundational and innovative solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with the broader ads measurement team, both within APAC and globally, product and data engineering to prioritize and implement the measurement roadmap across the region in collaboration with the Director of Ads Measurement Strategy, APAC.

  • Partner with Ads Marketing and Sales to deliver data and insights to our advertising clients and agencies with key narratives around the Netflix audience and service

  • Engage with measurement partners in ensuring that Netflix is accurately represented in industry measurement tools

  • Provide marketplace positioning and storytelling customized for verticals and clients

  • Assist in developing full-funnel measurement solutions that enable advertisers to understand the value and efficacy of their Netflix campaigns

  • Inform on opportunities for alternative currencies, targeting and/or measurement products

  • Deliver thought leadership by deeply understanding consumer perception, attitudes and behaviors related to both content and ads on Netflix and the competitive landscape

  • Setting the strategic vision for advanced measurement solutions for a particular market and / or country, ensuring alignment with Netflix's business goals.

  • Drive global and locally relevant workflows between Ads teams across all channels (Direct, Programmatic, Live).

  • Lead internal teams and vendor partners on campaign activation and revenue retention activities, including campaign packaging and asset readiness, timely campaign launches, delivery & optimization, and client reporting.

  • Partner with external vendors to ensure proper day-to-day support, load balancing, and alignment with the Account Management team.

  • Collaborate with the Netflix Ad Product team to help define and scope measurement integrations.

  • Strong understanding of external market dynamics and how it can impact the Netflix business; Meet w/ new vendors in the space and inform larger strategic vision.

About you:

  • 12+ years in media measurement at a TV, streaming or digital video company or media measurement companies.

  • Dual TV/onlineVideo and digital experience along with strong ads measurement understanding and expertise with effective media measurement such as MMMs, Lift solutions and cross media reach planning and reporting tools. 

  • Understanding of industry currency for TV/Video across content and ads.

  • Understand the impact of privacy on measurement.

  • Strong understanding of measurement nuances in the world of programmatic - knowledge around identity strategy would be a plus.

  • Self starter with expertise in managing large-scale, complex projects

  • Strong knowledge of the advertising landscape, across all kinds of media channels and methods of buying

  • Loves to get into the weeds and can see the big picture

  • Open to innovating, challenging assumptions and implementing better approaches

  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methodologies

  • Understanding of the consumer’s voice and how to turn that into actionable insights

  • A strong business partner to other cross functional teams and a leader who can prioritize multiple projects

  • Collaborates effectively and embraces differing perspectives and experiences to make better decisions

  • Experienced and at ease with diverse cultures and working in international environments
