Job Description

Senior Java Developer needed for Corporate Operations Group, working on technology solutions for Commodities and Global Markets. Responsibilities include building scalable platforms, developing, testing, and deploying code, release planning, stakeholder relationship building, designing and implementing solutions, peer code reviews, and working within a global agile team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and experience in investment banking. Experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred), relational databases, Docker/Kubernetes, and Java multithreading is highly desirable.

Must have:

7+ years Java enterprise development
Spring/Spring Boot experience
Unix/Linux knowledge
Cloud/AWS experience
Relational database experience
Docker/Container orchestration
Java Multithreading
SDLC tools (Bamboo, JIRA, GIT, Confluence)

Good to have:

Data Engineering Automation (SQL, NoSQL, Kafka, Hadoop)
Cloud Knowledge (Azure, GCP)
Banking & Finance industry experience

Project description

As a passionate and flexible Java Engineer, you will work in our Corporate Operations Group providing technology solutions for our Commodities and Global Markets business.

You will work autonomously as a part of a dynamic and motivated team working in an agile software development environment.
You must have a track record of having worked in big companies, experience in having worked in investment banks preferred.

Responsibilities

Building out platforms to scale with the ever-growing performance, data, regulatory, and product-driven requirements of our businesses

Developing, testing, and deploying code and performing release planning and execution

building relationships with business stakeholders to develop solutions for effective integration with upstream and downstream systems

Design, implementing, and testing solutions for new components or modifications to existing functionality

Performing peer code reviews and participating as a member of a global distributed team

Skills

Must have

7+ years of enterprise development experience in Java

Spring/Spring boot experience

Unix / Linux working knowledge

Working knowledge of cloud/related technologies

preferably AWS

Experience in relational databases

Docker / Container orchestration (Swarm / Kubernetes etc) is favorable

Java Multithreading is favorable

Experience in the banking & finance industry is beneficial

Knowledgeable with SDLC tools (e.g. Bamboo, JIRA, GIT, Confluence)

Nice to have

Experienced in Data Engineering Automation (SQL, NoSQL, Kafka, Hadoop, ...);

Cloud Knowledge (Azure, AWS, GCP), preferably certified.
