Job Description

As a Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Developer at Google Cloud, you'll provide technical guidance to customers adopting GCP services. Responsibilities include designing secure cloud implementations, automating infrastructure and applications, and optimizing customer experiences in migrating, building, modernizing, and maintaining applications on GCP. You'll collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to improve Google Cloud products and features. This role requires expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure, solving complex cloud challenges, and advising customers on technical architectures, migration, and application optimization. You'll troubleshoot technical issues, create best practice recommendations, and deliver technical content like tutorials and sample code. Up to 30% travel is required for meetings and onsite delivery.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent
8+ years automating infrastructure
Cloud enterprise solution design
Coding experience (Python, Java, Go, C/C++)
Provide domain expertise in cloud platforms

Good to have:

IT security practices knowledge
Experience with dual encoders and embedding vectors
Experience building prototypes/applications
GKE knowledge
containerization and orchestration

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, continuous integration, or delivery.
Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion.
Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C or C++) including data structures, algorithms, and software design.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with standard IT security practices such as identity and access management, data protection, encryption, certificate and key management.
Experience with dual encoders, and embedding vectors.
Experience building prototypes or applications.
Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$257,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Provide domain expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure, solving cloud platform challenges.
Work with customers to design and implement Cloud based technical architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations that enable business objectives.
Be a technical advisor and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical challenges for customers.
Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, and sample code.
Travel up to 30% for in-region for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities.
