Job Description

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will maintain existing services (bug fixes, security updates, improvements in Java, Scala, and TypeScript), build new APIs and web applications (Java/Scala), and migrate legacy services to new technologies (Java). This role requires 5+ years of Java/Spring Boot experience for API and web application development. You will work with AWS, including RDS/SQL databases, Lambda, and Kafka. Proficiency in Docker/Containers, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript is crucial. Experience with Scala, React, and observability tools like Datadog are beneficial. Must have:

Our customer is the European online car market with over 30 million monthly users, with a market presence in 18 countries. As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of online car markets and enhancing the user experience for millions of car buyers and sellers.

Responsibilities:

Maintenance of existing services (e.g., bug fixes, security updates, improvements in Java, Scala, and TypeScript)
Building new APIs and web applications (Java/ Scala)
Migrating legacy services to new technologies (Java)

Requirements:

5+ years of experience with Java/Spring Boot for developing APIs and web applications.
A self-driven, quick learner who can grasp tasks, gather necessary information, and work independently.
DevOps skills for monitoring and data analysis
Exposure to or experience with Scala, or eagerness to learn it;
Hands-on experience with Cloud hosting on AWS
Experience with AWS RDS/SQL databases.
Familiarity with AWS Lambda and AWS Kafka.

Should-Have Skills:

Proficiency in working with Docker/Containers.
Experience with HTML
Experience with CSS
Hands-on experience with Typescript

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with observability tools like Datadog.
Proficiency in React for web application development.
Experience with Scala
