Hulu’s Content Acquisition team is seeking a Senior Associate who will be an exceptional addition to our DTC Content team, with a primary focus on Scripted TV and Film deals across Hulu and Disney+. As a Senior Content Acquisition Associate, you will participate in the content acquisition process - tracking and evaluating content opportunities, defining our programming strategy through thorough analysis of data, operationalizing closed agreements, and providing ongoing deal management. This role demands someone who can blend quantitative output with a strong subjective filter to create meaningful insights, dynamic interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively motivate change - all at a breakneck pace.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support the formulation of a global content strategy and communicate that strategy internally and externally, using data to drive key business decisions and optimize our content portfolio

  • Track and evaluate content, both off-Hulu/Disney+ for potential licensing opportunities and on-Hulu/Disney+ for performance analysis

  • Contribute to strategic relationships with content partners and support the negotiation of licensed deals

  • Operationalize deals, leading all aspects of deal close and deal management, including collaboration with Marketing, Product, PR, Finance, and Legal

  • Complete long term and ad-hoc projects, including competitive analysis, to support the strategy of the Content Acquisition TV and Film teams and Hulu/Disney+ overall

WHAT TO BRING

  • Experience in and/or passion for TV and Film content in both 'old' and 'new' media, and an understanding of how the industry is changing and why

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience at either a major media company or a top tier consulting firm / investment bank

  • Graduate-level skill in quantitative analysis and data-driven storytelling

  • Effective communication skills to disseminate information to relevant stakeholders

  • Exceptional attention to detail and process management

  • Strong business judgment, and proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to thrive in an evolving and fast-paced environment, prioritizing and handling multiple projects concurrently, often with little supervision

  • Finely-honed sense of humor and willingness to participate in lively debates

NICE-TO-HAVES

  • Hands-on experience in the TV or Film industry, especially ones that brought you into contact with content acquisition, content sales, and/or content strategy globally

  • Interest in TV and Film content

  • Familiarity with the global media/streaming landscape

  • Fluency in a foreign language
