Job Description

Hike is seeking an iOS Software Development Engineer (SDE) to design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform. Responsibilities include working with product and design teams to translate user requirements into technical solutions, integrating web services (JSON, XML), utilizing core animation for engaging interfaces, integrating backend services for optimal user experience, bug fixing, performance improvement, owning end-to-end product modules, and unit testing. The role requires 1-2 years of hands-on iOS app development experience using Swift and Objective-C, strong understanding of iOS frameworks (Core Data, Core Animation etc.), memory management, and design patterns. The position is full-time and remote, based in Delhi, India.

Must have:

1-2 years iOS app development experience (Swift, Objective-C)
Strong understanding of iOS frameworks (Core Data, Core Animation)
Experience with memory management, design patterns, and full mobile development lifecycle
Experience publishing iOS apps
Proficient in JSON, XML integration and backend service integration

Good to have:

Experience with Core Graphics, Core Text
Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
Familiarity with Xcode Instruments

Skills & experience we're looking for 👨‍💻

1-2 years of hands-on programming experience in building mobile apps on iOS app, with extensive use of Swift, Objective-C, collections, algorithms, and well-known application frameworks I Top Talent in Every Role
Strong understanding of interactive application development paradigm under iOS, memory management, file I/O, network programming, concurrency, and multithreading I Top Talent in Every Role
Experience in iOS-specific application development and publishing iOS apps in the app store I Top Talent in Every Role
Experience working with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, Core Graphics, and Core Text I Top Talent in Every Role

You will 📲

Operations → Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform
Operations →Work with the product and design teams to understand end-user requirements and use cases and translate them into pragmatic and effective technical solutions. You integrate and consume web services (JSON, XML, etc.)
Operations → Use core animation to create engaging motion effects and intuitive interfaces
Operations → Integrate with our backend services to make sure we are delivering a great mobile user experience that is super-fast for end-users
Operations → Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
Operations → Own end-to-end product modules/features from the requirement to going live
Operations → Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliabilities.
