The Commissions Analyst in Revenue Operations is responsible for overseeing the commission calculation, tracking, and payout processes for the EMIEA Region. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely compensation for sales representatives and other employees involved in commission-based compensation plans. The Commissions Analyst collaborates closely with various teams, including sales, finance, and human resources, to maintain transparent and efficient commission operations.
Duties and responsibilities
The role is defined, but not limited to, the following:
1. Commission Plan Management:
- Develop, implement, standardize, and maintain commission plans in collaboration with the sales leadership and finance teams.
- Ensure commission plans align with EMEIA business objectives, sales goals, and industry best practices.
- Regularly review and update commission plans to account for changes in business strategies and market conditions.
2. Commission Calculation and Tracking:
- Establish and maintain commissions management software and processes to accurately calculate commissions based on predefined rules and metrics.
- Validate and reconcile commission data to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
- Monitor and track individual and team performance against targets and quotas to calculate appropriate commission payouts.
3. Commission Payouts and Reporting:
- Manage the timely and accurate payout of commissions to eligible employees.
- Collaborate with payroll and finance departments to ensure commission payments are correctly processed and reflected in the payroll system.
- Generate commission statements and reports for sales representatives and management, providing clear visibility into commission earnings and performance metrics.
4. Policy Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure commission-related policies, procedures, and guidelines are documented, communicated, and adhered to by all stakeholders.
- Stay updated on relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements related to commission structures and compensation practices.
- Collaborate with legal and HR teams to ensure compliance with EMEIA employment laws and regulations pertaining to commission payments.
5. Performance Analysis and Optimization:
- Analyze commission data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and optimize commission plans.
- Provide insights and recommendations to sales leadership on potential adjustments. to commission structures to drive desired behaviors and outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and enhancements to commission-related systems and processes.
6. ICM ownership
- Responsible for any new system changes in ICM
- Partner with Sales Commissions for Inquiry Intake & Reporting from ICM Tool
- Understands the data model related to ICM.
