Roblox VFX Artist

Orange Comet is seeking an experienced Roblox VFX Artist to join our team! We're bringing the biggest entertainment brands and IPs to content creation platforms such as Roblox, Minecraft, and Fortnite. You will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary game development team dedicated to delivering imaginative and innovative designs that push the boundaries of what is possible in Roblox. We are seeking passionate and creative candidates who are committed to elevating our digital experiences through professional growth and collaboration to support and enhance the team's skills and capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-quality real-time visual effects (VFX) using a combination of particle systems, textures, flipbooks and scripting
• Collaborate with game developers and other artists to understand requirements and develop creative solutions to meet the set needs
• Optimize render pipelines, settings, and particle effects for maximum performance on a variety of hardware configurations
• Debug and resolve issues with particle systems
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, Interactive Media, Graphic Design or a related field. Equivalent experience or certifications will also be considered
• Proven experience with game development pipelines, including source control and asset management
• Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking and attention to detail
• Good communication and collaboration skills

Compensation

The base salary range for a remote position in the United States is $60,000 USD - $150,000* USD + benefits.
