We are looking for highly qualified and experienced 3D artists with the skills to create hard surface objects according to AAA pipelines.
The ideal candidate should be able to handle all stages of creating the 3D model, from block-out to exporting it to the engine. They should be familiar with various pipelines and have a deep understanding of form, design, and materials.
Superpowers
you have are
- SubD modeling in 3Ds Max or Maya;
- Knowledge of CAD modeling;
- Knowledge of Fusion 360 as a recommended sift for the CAD-model creation (for Middle level and higher);
- Sculpting hard surface objects in Zbrush;
- Confident level of skill in creating low-poly models and retopology, understanding the principles of modular systems, and the ability to optimally distribute polygons at the facility;
- Ability to create optimal UV for various types of textures (tiles, rectangular, UDIM);
- Ability to bake in several programs to solve problems encountered during baking;
- Texturing in the Substance Painter;
- Proficiency in reading and analyzing sketches to plan the modeling process. Understanding general sketch forms and determining correct proportions and placement of main elements;
- Ability to create a correct model topology that facilitates the easy addition of details and textures;
- Skills in creating basic shapes and detailed models with proper topology;
- Basic knowledge of Substance Designer;
- Importing and configuring materials in engines (UnrealEngine 4, Unity, Lumberyard, etc.);
- Understanding of modern pipelines and requirements for creating realistic weapons and equipment;
- Ability to interpret and improve the concept idea;
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset to work in dynamic, creative environments;
- Intermediate+ English level (written and spoken) for seamless collaboration and documentation.
As a part of Room 8
studio, you will
- Create high-poly and low-poly models of the weapon and hard surface objects for games on given concepts/references according to guidelines;
- Create optimal UV mapping and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.);
- Make photorealistic texturing;
- Create materials in Substance Designer;
- Work with game engines.
