Job Description

The QA Automation Engineer will ensure the quality, performance, compatibility, and stability of the World of Tanks game client. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining automated tests using the internal Bot-net framework (Python 2.7), preparing test environments, analyzing game performance across PC components (CPU, RAM, GPU), and improving test automation processes. This role requires deep Python knowledge, understanding of PC architecture, and strong analytical skills. The position offers a hybrid work model (2-3 days in the office).

Job Overview

World of Tanks QA Automation Team is looking for a talented QA Automation Engineer.

Reports to

QA Automation Tech Lead

What will you do? 

  • Quality assurance of the project in the areas of performance, compatibility, and stability of the WoT game client;

  • Create new and support existed client performance and stability autotests on internal e2e test framework called Bot-net written on Python2.7

  • Prepare test environment for the tests using top-notch internal laboratory with dozens of PC and laptops

  • Thoroughly study and try out the principles of operation of games on PC (how the CPU, RAM, GPU, etc. are used);

  • Dig deeper into the test automation for individual game modules, processing of test results, or preparing a test environment.

What are we looking for?

  • Confident knowledge of Python: language’s tips and tricks, restrictions, working with memory, GIL, system of modules and imports, generators, decorators;

  • Knowledge of PC architecture basics and component interaction;

  •  Intermediate or higher level of English (sufficient for reading technical documentation);

  •  Understanding of basics, but better experience of automation with CI systems TeamCity/Jenkins;

  • Strong analytical skills, ability to get deep into problem’s root causes and to offer system wise decisions.

What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • Technical education;

  • Knowledge/experience in automation with alternative programming languages (C++, C#, JS) education;

  • Experience in working with large amounts of data and databases (MySQL, Impala, Hue, visualization in Excel, Tableau).

Work mode

Hybrid (2-3 days of work from the office)

The salary range for this role in Vilnius is EUR 3800 - 4600 monthly gross.
