Job Description

As a Product Manager I, Android, Privacy and Trust at Google, you will play a key role in ensuring a secure and trusted Android ecosystem for users worldwide. You will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch, focusing on user content management, mitigating privacy and abuse risks in the AI age, and ensuring compliance with regulations. You will also be responsible for facilitating launches, maintenance, and retirement of products, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand and document user and business requirements. In this role, you will contribute to Google's commitment to providing a safe and secure platform for its users, fostering innovation and user trust within the Android ecosystem.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
Experience working in the mobile industry, with a diverse ecosystem of partners and distribution channels.

Good to have:

Master's degree in a Technology or Business related field.
4 years of product management experience of building platform-style products, taking them from conception to launch.
2 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership.
Experience working on trust and safety products or risk platforms.
Understanding of the Android ecosystem and open-source principles.

Minimum qualifications:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Identify opportunities to continue building Android a trusted ecosystem. Identify opportunities for secure user content management and strengthen permissions, across applications and devices to mitigate privacy and abuse risks in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) age.
Facilitate launches, maintenance, and retirement in collaboration with other cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Improve transparency and control over how apps handle and shares user data while promoting innovation and experimentation within the Android ecosystem.
Ensure compliance with regulations to maintain fair and trusted app ecosystem.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional (XFN) teams to understand and document user and business requirements.
