**Prefer to hire in our Austin location for a hybrid schedule, 3 days a week in office.  We will also consider other office locations, not offering full remote work for this role**

About the team and role:

eBay is looking for outstanding developers with a security background to join our Cloud Security Team. The ideal candidate will excel at building and maintaining security products in the cloud security domain.

We are seeking Software Engineers who are passionate about using the latest technologies to bring our eBay Platform Security forward with respect to functionality, performance, scalability and reliability. You will work closely with Product Management, Architects and the Operations teams.

What you will accomplish:

  • Working on backend and frontend design and development of web applications.

  • Collaborate with end users and partners and help define product requirements

  • Supporting and ownership of applications throughout software development process (SDLC).

  • Building infrastructure and applications for various domains and scenarios.

  • Design efficient and resilient software solutions using micro-services architecture.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related engineering or equivalent and 8+ years experience.

  • Must have experience using workflow engines (Activiti, Bonita etc.).

  • Proven knowledge of Java Language, common Java API's and Spring framework as well as JavaScript and Node.js, knowledge of frontend frameworks like react.js, Vue.js, Ember.js.

  • Experience in Identity Governance and knowledge on general Security and IAM (Identity and access management) domains are helpful.

  • Should have experience being event driven systems and pub-sub architecture.

  • Experience building and deploying applications on Kubernetes and any hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Istio.

  • Experience and good understanding of key security technologies e.g. TLS 1.2+, X.509, OIDC, FIDO2 and basic cryptography.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.

$149,200 - $234,850

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
