Our direct Fortune 500 client is looking for someone to join the Events team to own and manage the JIRA TICKETING service desk for all events inquiries, responding to requests, escalating issues as needed, and maintaining up-to-date documentation on standard procedures.
This is a 6 – month contract + extension. The team is located in California, and the role is fully remote. Onward Search provides benefits for 40 hour work week and weekly paychecks (W2) for duration of the contract.
Operations Event Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Provide general operational support for event initiatives, including event coordination, employee experience enhancements, and logistical support.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee hotel reservation requests and modifications for offsite events. This includes managing rooming lists, coordinating with hotels on room block availability, handling reservation adjustments and last-minute changes, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Deliver exceptional, high-touch support to employees navigating the Offsite program's RSVP and hotel processes, proactively addressing concerns and providing clear communication.
- Partner with hotels, internal teams, and the event team to ensure accurate rooming lists, confirmation details, and seamless check-in experiences.
- Develop and maintain standardized responses and resources for the team to efficiently address common employee lodging questions.
Operations Event Coordinator Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in event planning
- Experience in operational support roles, such as event logistics, hotel room block management, or travel coordination.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage complex tasks and last-minute changes effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple requests while maintaining strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Jira, Slack, Google Workspace, and other relevant project management tools.
