We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Thessaloniki.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and Spring Boot, as well as hands-on experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Kafka. As a Mid-Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance applications.

Who you are

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Docker.
• Solid experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Experience with messaging systems, especially Kafka.
• Familiarity with Spring Data for database interactions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Keys Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Develop data access layers using Spring Data and integrate with PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases.
• Build and maintain messaging systems with Kafka.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, and improve the overall system performance.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions are cutting-edge.

Bonus Skills

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience in agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
