Summary:
The Mid-Level Animator will be responsible for crafting custom animations on various rigs, collaborating closely with Design to refine gameplay animations, and demonstrating proficiency in using proprietary animation tools. This role involves active participation in animation reviews and refining animations based on feedback. Unreal Engine experience and a passion for gaming are highly desirable qualities for this position.
Responsibilities:
• Craft custom animations on a variety of rigs to enhance character and creature performances.
• Work closely with Design to refine and perfect gameplay animations, ensuring they meet quality and gameplay requirements.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using proprietary custom tool set for animation production.
• Participate in animation reviews, receive feedback, and refine animations based on feedback to achieve desired results.
Candidate Requirements:
• Strong portfolio demonstrating skills in animation, including examples of biped and quadruped movement.
• Experience with hand key animation techniques, showcasing the ability to create naturalistic motion without relying heavily on motion capture.
• Proficiency in using Maya for animation production.
• Ability to reliably identify and meet goals, delivering high-quality animations within project deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to collaborate effectively and take direction from lead animators or supervisors.
• Experience with integrating animations in Unreal Engine.
• Passion for gaming and a keen interest in contributing to the interactive entertainment industry.
Location: Remote, with overlap with the USA-based studio.
