You'll work closely with various teams (engine development, game development, VFX, design) and directly report to the QA Director. This role also involves managing a team of QA Engineers, including hiring, development, and task management. The goal is to ensure high-quality engine releases for seamless integration into Playrix's game products.

We have big plans for the growth and development of our projects, and we place particular importance on the quality of our products. That's why we're looking for the most capable experts to join our testing teams.

We're seeking a QA Lead for our engine's integration and release team. This person will manage the preparation stage for the release of a new version of our engine. They'll have ownership over all regular product tests, help build the acceptance testing stage, and then take over its management. This role involves working closely with the engine development team, from QA to producers, as well as with the game development teams, including VFX specialists, designers, QA, and our game programmers. This role reports directly to the engine's QA Director.

Tasks

  • Managing the stabilization stage of development and preparing the engine for releases (major and minor)
  • Organizing and managing all regular types of testing: Smoke, Weekly, Regress
  • Monitoring automated tests and analyzing their results
  • Formulating requests for automated tests
  • Updating the test engine model in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Organizing acceptance tests before the engine's integration into game products
  • Managing a team of QA Engineers, including hiring, supporting development, motivating, and managing their tasks.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in QA and at least 2 years in a leadership position
  • Excellent skills in applying testing theory in practice
  • An understanding of SDLC and the ability to integrate QA into it. Basic project management skills
  • Excellent test planning and defect management skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Skills in working with automated tests (results analysis, formation of scope for automation).

Preferred

  • experience in stabilization or integration teams and release management.
