Job Description
As a Senior QA Engineer in Playrix's Technology Department, you'll be responsible for quality control and testing of complex products throughout their lifecycle. This includes integration and system testing, creating and maintaining test documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (producers, programmers, engineering managers, and game QA teams). You'll participate in bug management, quality improvement processes, and work with various dev and CI tools (Git, TeamCity, Qase, etc.). The role requires expertise in test design, experience testing complex technical systems (e.g., AI systems, editors), and the ability to lead features through the SDLC. Experience with game engines and programming languages is preferred.

Team, about the role
We are looking for QA engineers for different teams in our Technology Department:
- Front-End, the team that tests game engine editors
- Integration, our engine's integration and release team
- Rendering, the team that implements the low-level rendering used in all of our mobile gaming masterpieces
Tasks
- Providing quality control and the testing of a complex product, taking features through all stages of their life cycle (SDLC)
- Integration and system testing
- Creating and maintaining test documentation (test cases, checklists, testing instructions, etc.)
- Working in a cross-functional team with a producer, programmers, and an engineering manager. As well as interaction with developers and QA game teams
- Participation in bug management processes (bug reporting, bug triage, bug updates, bug debt management, analysis of bug metrics and statistics, etc.)
- Participating in quality improvement processes for the product
- Working with multiple dev and CI tools (Git, TeamCity, Qase, etc.)

- CI/CD: TeamCity
- Test case management system: Qase
- Crashlytics: Sentry
- Test Automation: Python + Pytest
- Lots of additional tools: Charles proxy, ADB/AppCat, etc.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in testing
- Excellent knowledge of test design and experience in developing test scenarios
- Experience in testing complex technical systems (e.g., artificial intelligence systems, editors, IDE, FPGA, robotics)
- Ability to lead an assigned feature through the entire SDLC
- Experience with Git and CI tools (TeamCity, Jenkins)
Preferred
- Experience with game engines
- Basic knowledge of programming languages (ability to read code and roughly understand what was done, analyze dependencies) and/or ability to apply white box design test techniques
- Experience working with device farms for testing mobile applications (BrowserStack, AWS Device Farm).
