Scopely seeks a Lead Producer, Art Outsourcing to join its Studio Operations team in Canada (remote). This role focuses on enabling game teams to produce high-quality art efficiently and cost-effectively. Responsibilities include streamlining processes, budget tracking, implementing best practices, fostering collaboration between teams, improving art outsourcing, vetting partners, optimizing pipelines, and creating reports on vendors, assets, and costs. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of art production experience, familiarity with various art pipelines and production tools, strong communication skills, and experience managing budgets and contracts.

Scopely is looking for a Lead Producer, Art Outsourcing  to join our Studio Operations team in Canada on a remote basis.

What You Will Do 
You would join our Studio Ops Team and form part of the mission to enable our game teams to produce the highest quality art, reach cost reductions, and highest efficiency through art-production excellence and right partner choices. You would assist in creation and testing of new art strategies, vetting partner candidates, and drive optimization efforts of art- production pipelines to ultimately produce and deliver outstanding art to delight our players in an impactful way. 

 

The responsibilities include participating in streamlining and maintenance of company-wide processes, budget tracking, driving adoption of best-known methods across the board, and contributing in information-share initiatives between all the game teams. 

 

Great communication skills and diplomatic tactfulness are paramount in this role as a big part of the work is about building new bridges for collaboration and beneficial synergies between different game teams and central teams.

 

  • Level up Scopely’s Central Outsourcing Program.
  • Work with top games in all the important gaming platforms.
  • Improve and execute art- outsourcing-budget processes.
  • Provide made-to-measure advice to empower our game teams.
  • Build and gather knowledge to our database.
  • Create content and improve our intra information hub.
  • Collaborate with other central teams like the Finance, InfoSec, IT, and the Legal teams
  • Build and nurture game teams’ and partners’ relationships.
  • Improve art production processes with both game teams and external partners
  • Improve reporting tools.
  • Proactively communicate with art production across the teams to ensure proper reporting.
  • Identify and suggest areas for outsourcing cost optimization using data driven analysis.
  • Produce periodic reports on art outsourcing vendors, assets, costs, efficiency etc.
  • Conduct investigation and produce valuable content for Art Directors,Art Managers and Art Producers in the game teams.
  • Find and vet new potential art-outsource partners.

 

What We’re Looking For 
  • 8+ years of Art Production Experience
  • Wide issue & project tracking software experience
  • Familiarity of wide variety of art-production pipelines
  • Experience with standard productivity tools such as Google Sheets or Excel
  • Experience with production tools such as Autodesk Flow Production Tracking (formerly ShotGun or ShotGrid), and Jira
  • Experience in interacting with game teams and vendors
  • Familiarity with invoices, contracts, POs, budgets, and technical systems
  • Ability to work well across multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills / detail oriented
  • Great organization skills

  • Artist background is considered a plus
