Description

TuxCare is looking for a dynamic and experienced Java/OSS Community Outreach Manager to champion our engagement with the Java and open-source software communities. In this role, you will serve as the bridge between TuxCare and a vibrant network of Java developers, community leaders, and open-source contributors. Your primary mission will be to promote our Endless Lifecycle Support for Spring Framework and other popular Java Open Source libraries, and foster long-lasting relationships between TuxCare and different Java communities

Key Responsibilities

  • Community Engagement:
    • Build, nurture, and manage relationships with Java communities, open-source contributors, and community influencers.
    • Actively participate in Java communities (online forums, local meetups, open-source projects) and represent TuxCare as a trusted partner.
    • Develop and execute outreach strategies to increase awareness and adoption of TuxCare’s ELS for Java software.
    • Create and disseminate technical content (blog posts, tutorials, webinars, documentation) that resonates with and educates our target audience.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with product, engineering, marketing, and customer success teams to align community initiatives with overall company strategies.
    • Relay community insights and feedback to internal stakeholders to help drive product improvements and innovations.
  • Strategy & Analysis:
    • Design and implement community outreach programs that drive engagement, adoption, and advocacy.
    • Utilize analytics tools to track community engagement metrics, monitor campaign performance, and refine outreach strategies for optimal impact.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

  • Passion for Open Source & Java:
    • A genuine enthusiasm for the open-source ecosystem and the Java programming community.
    • A strong background in Java development, with a solid understanding of its frameworks, tools, and best practices.
    • Several years of experience in developer advocacy, community management, or a similar role within the tech industry, preferably with a focus on Java or open-source projects.
    • Demonstrated success in building and engaging technical communities.
  • Communication & Content Creation Skills:
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible content.
    • Experience in creating engaging content tailored for technical audiences.
