Hockey Operations Supervisor

Salary Range: up to $60,000 (depending on experience)
Hawk-Eye Innovations is at the cutting edge of sports technology, working with top Hockey leagues to deliver state-of-the-art tracking and video systems. We are looking for a Hockey Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic team and lead the delivery of our innovative solutions in the Hockey arena.
The Hockey Operations Supervisor oversees our NHL and WHL tracking and replay operations. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of optical tracking as well as AWS and cloud computing, with the ability to manage and provide effective feedback to a team of Operators. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth delivery of our cloud-based NHL tracking systems and will require a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Accountable for the live delivery of our Hockey SkeleTRACK and SMART Systems in both the NHL and WHL.
Liaising with league staff, onsite technicians and internal operators to deliver a flawless operation.
Identify potential issues and work to find solutions to maximize operational efficiency.
Execute daily hardware investigations and resolutions.
Execute software roll-outs and address data investigation tasks.
Communicate updates across teams and ensure follow-up and resolutions are carried out.
Assist with leading training sessions across all specific roles and responsibilities.
Oversee pre-game checks of the systems in accordance with standard procedures and solve problems in a timely manner when issues arise.
Assist and oversee the operating of the technologies during the game remotely from the Atlanta Office.
Hands-on experience with player-tracking technology
1+ years of Production/Technical experience.
Basic knowledge of AWS and cloud computing (training provided if necessary).
Supervisor experience with the ability to provide regular feedback and coaching.
Time management skills and ability to work in a high-pressure, live sporting environment.
Ability to liaise with clients and customers in a professional and approachable manner.
In-depth understanding of Hockey operations, terminology, and processes.
Experience in hardware quality assurance and data investigation.
Ability to prioritize, address high-priority issues and escalate to leadership.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Previous experience in a similar role within operations or sports technology.
Proficient in project management software such as ClickUp.
Proficient in using presentation tools such as Google Slides and Google Sheets.
This position will require schedule flexibility, including weekends, late nights, and holidays.
Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site support and installs.
