Job Description

Miniclip is looking for a Game Producer: Fair Play (anti-cheating) to hire in our Lisbon (Portugal) Games Development Studio. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a Game Producer to integrate into an agile, highly effective and talented team. You will be the reference person to everything related with Play Fair in the Product by providing leadership to the team to develop and maintain cutting edge mobile games anti-cheating features. 

This is a full-time, permanent, and hybrid position.

What will you be doing at Miniclip?

  • Be responsible for the Play Fair (anti-cheating) team and liaise with a wide group of people from developers to legal team on latest trends on cheaters activity 
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Play Fair team by setting clear objectives, direction, prioritizing tasks and maintaining well-defined schedules and milestones. 
  • Support the teams to help them achieve their best. From providing reports, facilitating meetings, negotiating resources, gather requirements, providing insights from the community to researching possible solutions 
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks involved with the maintenance of existing and new Play Fair protections 
  • Proactively monitor the health of Play Fair protections in the live environment and be able to respond and make decisions in a timely manner (this should include find out and try new and existing cheats and investigate the web for information) 
  • Define and execute the best approaches to reliably test Fair Play protections 
  • Perform advanced mobile Operating System actions, for example, root an Android/iOS device, setup and install hooking apps and use terminal commands such as adb to gather detailed information to allow developers to debug possible issues 
  • Work together with the team to setup and maintain a set of devices to test Fair Play protections (for example, 32 bit, rooted compatibility and App hooking protection) 
  • Constantly sync with Cyber Security team to understand and follow the best security practices to test cheating tools

The ideal candidate must present the following: 

  • 2+ years of experience in video game production or project management roles 
  • Understanding of development processes and pipelines, having successfully run a project with cross-functional teams 
  • Be able to take ownership of decisions and provide leadership with the ability to think strategically and anticipate problems.  
  • Highly detail-oriented and displays strong adaptability and problem-solving skills 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences. 
  • Have natural curiosity and pro-activity towards investigation of cheating/hacking topics 
  • BA or BSc degree or equivalent. 

The following skills are desirable but not essential (if you have them, don’t forget to mention them): 

  • Previous professional experience within the game industry and/or with any form of anti-cheating/hacking/security 
  • Have advanced mobile Operating System knowledge, for example how to root an Android/iOS device, how to setup and install hooking apps and use terminal commands such as adb 
  • Active mobile gamer
