We are looking for an experienced game mathematician to join our team of mathematicians, developers and data analysts in Stockholm or Gothenburg. The role focuses on live Casino games such as Baccarat, Roulette, Blackjack and more.

What’s the deal?

We are seeking a skilled and analytical individual to join our team, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative mathematical models for Casino games, with a primary focus on Live and First-Person games for Evolution. You will provide detailed analysis and explanations of mathematical frameworks and work closely with Product Owners to refine game concepts from a mathematical standpoint. Your role includes validating and simulating models in collaboration with development teams and preparing comprehensive documentation of game mechanics and key statistics for implementation and certification. You will support the production team by ensuring correct server implementation and verifying game statistics. The role also involves active collaboration with teammates to exchange knowledge, contribute to game tests, and provide constructive feedback. 

Who are you? 

The right candidate should have a proven track record and hands-on experience working as a game mathematician with iGaming / Casino games such as Baccarat, Roulette, Blackjack and more. This candidate must be comfortable providing guidance and direction to others on matters related to Casino game math models. 

We're looking for a team player with an innovative personality with a passion to learn new things. You hold a natural talent for understanding and solving abstract and complex problems and have a good eye for detail. It is important that you have an interest in understanding how different math models relate to and translate into player behavior and what appeals to the end user. We think you should have an interest in games from a mathematical and player perspective.    

Main game skills:  

• University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent 
• A minimum of 2-years’ experience as a Game Mathematician for Casino games and/or slots 
• Strong passion for mathematics and numerical modelling 
• Talent for understanding and solving abstract and complex problems 
• Proven programming experience, Java competence a plus.  
• Excellent skills in Excel. 
• Fluent in spoken and written English. 
• Excellent understanding of casino game design and logic (Baccarat, Roulette, Blackjack and more) 

Bonus skills:  

• Experience in the Gaming Industry, with an understanding of gambling concepts.  
• Software development  
• Worked in a team lead capacity
