Job Description
As a Field Service Technician at Tesla, you'll ensure optimal operation of renewable energy storage products and Superchargers. Daily responsibilities include traveling to various sites in Norway (and abroad as needed) to perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, repairs, and commissioning. You will be the primary point of contact for contractors, conduct root-cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve recurring issues. Strong electrical engineering skills (low and medium voltage, high voltage a plus) are essential, along with excellent communication and independent work capabilities. Proactive problem-solving and the ability to work flexibly are crucial for this role. Fluency in Norwegian and English is required, and an EU passport or work permit is mandatory.

What to ExpectWhat You’ll Bring
As a Field Service Technician in our Energy and Charging Field Service team, you will play a vital role in making sure both our Renewable Energy Storage products and our Superchargers are operating at their best. In your day-to-day responsibilities, you will be travelling to sites and perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting and repairs along with commissioning activities across various locations within Norway. What You’ll Do- Perform all on-site technical activities: related to the installation, commissioning, repair, maintenance of our Energy storage and Supercharging network in Kristiansand and abroad when needed
- Troubleshoot: and perform root-cause analysis, both remotely and on-site
- Stakeholder managment: Act as the first point of contact to contractors
- Team work: recurring issues and provide feedback to the engineering teams
- Organizational tasks: prepare, organize, and plan your own technical activities
- Experience as a technician in the electrical engineering field
- Experience with Low- and Medium Voltage electrical systems, High Voltage is a plus
- A passion for renewable energy
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently, motivated and a proactive attitude
- Flexible towards travelling
- Fluency in Norwegian and a good command of English
- An EU passport or work permit is needed for this position
