THE ROLE

We are strengthening our Shared Data team with a Data Engineering Lead. As a Data Engineer in the Shared Data team at Toptracer, you will be working with the central parts of the Data platform and pipelines. This role offers the exciting opportunity to consolidate data pipelines and databases into a newly set up data warehouse. You will have the chance to affect the architecture and design leaving a positive impact on the product. In this role, you will take the team and Toptracer to the next level.

The position provides the advantage of involvement in diverse projects across different teams, helping them develop and improve their products. Additionally, there are opportunities to test product changes and see the results of your work in action by grabbing a golf club, swinging it, and seeing if the code you created reacts in the way you expect on the golf ball's trajectory.

The team Shared data is responsible for data analysis, streaming services and API’s. They have a great culture and chemistry together. They work with agile methods and use Jira to structure their work.

You will also have a big impact on consolidating the system we have today, the platform is both in the cloud and on-prem. You will together with the team and other teams at Toptracer make the platform more robust and scalable than it is today.

You are a quick learner who enjoys understanding new tech stacks and applying suitable technology to the tasks at hand. You are open-minded and can consider the pros and cons of multiple alternative solutions. You have a passion for data, coding, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of the needs of data for analysis and services.

WE BELIEVE YOU HAVE

5+ years of experience working as a Data Engineer
Professional experience and knowledge of Data platforms and pipelines
Data model frameworks, principles, and best practices
Experience with data warehouses
Experience in architecture and design of Data platforms and pipelines
An understanding of trends and opportunities to ensure we are following best practices
Experience in managing cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
An understanding of the software development process and identifying the needs of a back-end developer
At least two years of experience working in Python
