The Coordinator, Marketing Legal, reporting to the Paralegal Manager, provides administrative and coordinator-level support to the Marketing Legal team at Walt Disney Studios. Responsibilities include managing the team's daily operations, distributing status reports, managing calendars, tracking film release schedules, ensuring deadlines are met, serving as a point of contact for internal and external partners, coordinating presentations, providing administrative support (meeting coordination, expense submissions), and acting as a team expert on various software (PowerPoint, NetDocuments, Workday, SAP, Coupa). Additional duties include ordering office supplies, managing projects, and collaborating with the team to prevent delays.
Must have:
  • 1+ years administrative/project coordination experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with NetDocuments and Marketing
  • Experience at a major studio, law firm, or corporate environment

Job Summary:

About the Role & Team

The Coordinator, Marketing Legal will report to our Paralegal Manager and provide both coordinator-level and administrative support to the Marketing Legal team, which supports theatrical and streaming feature films across banners at the Walt Disney Studios, including Disney Live Action, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Pixar, Disney Animation, 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures. The coordinator manages the team’s daily operations, ensures the smooth flow of information, and provides essential support to a dynamic team of entertainment professionals.

What You Will Do

• Collect status reports and distribute them to the Deputy Chief Counsel.

• Manage a comprehensive team calendar to track our film release schedule.

• Ensure critical deadlines are met by monitoring timelines and flagging any potential delays in collaboration with the team.

• Serve as the point of contact for internal teams and external partners. Schedule and coordinate presentations from internal experts.

• Provide day-to-day administrative support, including meeting coordination and submitting expenses for the Deputy Chief Counsel and the two Assistant Chief Counsels. 

• Serve as the team expert on PowerPoint, NetDocuments, Workday, SAP and Coupa.

• Order and maintain office supplies and snacks for the team. 

• Manage or assist with other department projects as directed by our Paralegal Manager.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in an administrative, operations, or project coordination role, ideally within the entertainment industry.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., NetDocuments).

• Familiarity with Marketing.

• Prior work experience at a major studio, guild/union, law firm or other fast-paced corporate environment.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.


The hiring range for this position in California is $58,700.00 - $78,600.00 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
