Summary

As a leader in the casino gaming industry, IGT is looking for a talented individual to take on a role of a Cloud Systems Engineer who is passionate about superior customer service focused on IGT’s next generation Cloud/WAN/LAN Managed Services.  If you thrive on providing optimum levels of customer service while dealing with cutting edge technology, then this position is for you. 

 

The Cloud Systems Engineer is responsible for the design and development of builds, scripts, installation procedures, and systems including source code control and issue tracking. Provide communication and collaboration between software development and infrastructure teams.  As a member of the Cloud team, the System Engineer plays a key role in the success of IGT implementations. The role is responsible for end-to-end stability, performance, tuning of IGT applications stack in various cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Responsibilities

  • Experienced in working within Cloud platforms with a focus on availability, reliability, and automation.
  • Exposure or understanding of containerization platforms like Kubernetes and Docker
  • Contribute to the design and deployment of scalable, fault tolerant and high availability solutions.
  • Through the various delivery technologies, you will learn to integrate, test, and maintain IGT systems and associated applications.
  • As part of a well-established 24x7 global services team you will learn to maintain production infrastructures hosting IGT’s software across multiple platforms.
  • You will work closely with our customers to successfully diagnose, troubleshoot, and reproduce reported issue/problems within a lab environment to identify and implement solutions in production.
  • You will carry out activities related to new installations, maintenance, and long-term support of IGT’s gaming systems & software applications. 
  • You will successfully establish and build relationships internally and externally.
  • You will be part of the team to exceed expectations for currently established SLA’s related to global systems engineering support.
  • You will be responsible for conforming to standardized process and procedures when operating remote connectivity solutions to provide real-time support on production solutions while complying with established rules and regulations.
  • Ability to stay current with existing and emerging technologies relevant to the business.
  • Ability to carry out activities related to new software installations, maintenance and upgrades associated with IGT Gaming Systems software. 
  • Ability to produce, provide input in the definition or modification of current technical documentation and processes.
  • Ability to function in a high paced, high demand working environment.
  • Participate in the multiple service-oriented projects involving several major product lines and platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to obtain gaming licenses.
  • Available for 24/7 schedule rotation.
  • Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook.
  • Microsoft and networking certifications a plus1+ year knowledge in multiple areas including:
  • security, networking, administration and hardware a plus
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to interact with all levels of employees in a professional manner.
  • As an essential function of this position, the employee must be able to handle high levels of stress satisfactorily and always be congenial with other employees and customers.
  • The Global Systems Services organization is a fast-paced environment and critical thinking is essential.
  • Strict adherence to company policies, confidentiality, and mature judgment must be always demonstrated.
  • Assigned duties should be performed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • As this individual often represents the internal and external customers and colleagues’ professionalism is a must.
  • Must handle Responsibilities:  by multi-tasking, working independently and with minimal direction.
  • Must deliver objectives both individually and through interaction with others, therefore must demonstrate an understanding of organizational functions and departments
  • Ability to pass a Background Security Investigation

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $44,990 - $96,845. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
