We are seeking an experienced LiDAR Data Specialist with proficiency in Civil 3D to work on a
variety of civil engineering and land development projects. The ideal candidate will be
responsible for processing LiDAR data, creating topographic drawings, and managing various
aspects of the project lifecycle, from initiation to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process and extract street-level features (roads, highways, etc.) from aerial and
terrestrial LiDAR data.
2. Prepare digital topographic drawings in alignment with client standards.
3. Perform LiDAR pre-and post-processing, including data classification
(manual/automatic) and elevation system adjustments.
4. Conducted quality control on post-processed LiDAR data and ensured deliverables
met project requirements.
5. Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets while monitoring progress to address
any issues.
6. Perform planimetric extraction and surface creation from point cloud data and
generate accurate contours for terrain modelling.
7. Create 3D polylines and assign elevations to structures using Civil 3D tools.
8. Design surfaces for lakes, rivers, roads, and buildings, ensuring hydrological and
topographical accuracy.
9. Prepare 2D and 3D drawings, elevations, contours, alignments, and profiles for
roads, highways, and utility infrastructure using Autodesk Civil 3D.
10. Maintain accurate project files and ensure adherence to project specifications.
11. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients to meet project
milestones.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Proficient in LiDAR data processing (aerial/terrestrial) and experience with drones or
terrestrial mobile systems.
2. Strong knowledge of elevation capture, planimetric extraction, and surface
modelling.
3. Expertise in Civil 3D, including 3D polyline creation and surface and contour
generation.
4. Ability to manage complex LiDAR projects from start to finish.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and project management skills.
7.Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, geospatial engineering, or a related
field is preferred.
