Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a motivated and experienced Character Technical Artist to join its Overwatch development team in Seoul, Korea. This role will involve leveraging technical artistry skills to support the character production process, collaborating with 3D character artists, concept artists, and animators. Responsibilities include skinning characters, weapons, and props, creating cloth and ragdoll simulations, rigging new characters, providing tool support, and troubleshooting technical issues. The ideal candidate possesses strong experience in rigging, skinning, and a deep understanding of character kinematics, deformations, and topology. A passion for Blizzard games and a desire to contribute to creating high-quality entertainment experiences are essential.
Must have:
  • 1+ years experience rigging/skinning characters in Maya

테크니컬 아티스트는 캐릭터 스킨 제작을 주 업무로 하며 캐릭터의 피직스 셋업, 스키닝, 어셋을 내보내기 위한 기술적 준비 및 점검을 맡게됩니다. 언제나 환영인 새로운 영웅과 스킨제작에 함께해주세요!

직무의 경우 제작 파이프라인 및 서포트팀의 요구사항에 따르며 모델링, 게임 디자인, 애니메이션, 컨셉, VFX 등 다른 부서들과 협업하게 될 것입니다.

Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a motivated and experienced senior character technical artist to join its powerhouse Overwatch development team based in Seoul, Korea! You will leverage your skills by providing support throughout the character production process, working closely with 3D character artists, concept artists and animators.

Your broader experience with game development and character rigging and skinning will help you work collaboratively with artists and designers to ensure that you are always putting gameplay first when it comes to developing efficient solutions for our heroes.

Your work will be aligned to the needs of a production pipeline and teams we support, and you’ll work collaboratively with other departments including game design, animation, and VFX.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated artist who is able to build complex rigs and is capable of maintaining a high level of visual and technical quality for all characters and must have a strong understanding of skinning, ragdolls, anatomy, cloth / hair, and be comfortable in a scripted environment.

  • 새로운 캐릭터, 무기 및 프랍 리깅
  • 아티스트를 위한 툴 서포트, 파이프라인 서포트 및 다양한 문제 해결
  • 좋은 게임개발을 위한 다양한 부서와의 협업
  • Skinning skins, weapons and props using Maya
  • Creating Cloth, Ragdoll simulation in proprietary engine
  • Rigging new characters, weapons and props using Maya
  • Helping artists by creating tools, pipeline support, technical setup and troubleshooting
  • Cooperating with multiple different teams in Overwatch to make a great game

지원자격 Minimum Requirements

경험 Experience

  • Maya를 기반으로 한 최소 1년 이상의 리깅/스키닝 경험 (게임업계 또는 CG업계 등)
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in rigging/skinning characters in Maya

  • High proficiency in character Skinning, Physics, and Technical Workflows
  • Knowledge on subjects such as Maya tool development and pipeline design
  • Experience in Python, or other programming languages
  • Strong communication/collaboration skills
