Nowadays, we're on the hunt for a Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team! 

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to develop and maintain reports and dashboards that drive insights in the gaming industry. In this role, you'll ensure data is accessible and usable, supporting comprehensive analysis and reporting to inform key business decisions.


Responsibilities:
 

  • Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand the reporting requirements and translate them into effective and insightful reports.

  • Provide technical guidance on the feasibility and optimal ways to meet reporting needs.

  • Develop, design, and maintain visually compelling and interactive dashboards and reports.

  • Work closely with data engineers and data architects to ensure the data feeding into the BI platform is accurate, timely, and reliable.

  • Ensure data models are well-suited for front-end reporting needs.

  • Ensure that visualisations adhere to best practices in data visualisation.

  • Optimise reports and dashboards for performance and efficiency.

  • Implement role-based access controls to secure sensitive data.

  • Ensure that reports comply with company data governance policies, including security and privacy standards.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all reports and dashboards.

  • Provide support to end-users by troubleshooting issues, answering questions, and ensuring they can effectively use reports.

  • Conduct training sessions to help users understand and utilise the reports and dashboards effectively.

  • Stay up to date with the latest best practices in reporting and business intelligence.

  • Continuously improve the reporting processes and practices, incorporating feedback from users and data team members.



    Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data science, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in BI/report development, with a focus on front-end development using Tableau.

  • Proficiency in Tableau with a strong portfolio of Tableau dashboards and reports.

  • Knowledge of other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik) is a plus.

  • Proven experience in translating business requirements into actionable insights through reporting tools.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex data sets.

  • High attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • Ability to ensure data accuracy and visualisation clarity.

  • Strong data modelling skills with emphasis on dimensional modelling.

  • Experience with SQL and data querying, including complex joins, subqueries, and data aggregation.

  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience of working in SCRUM environment is a plus.

  • Ability to adapt to new technologies, tools, and processes.

  • Willingness to continuously learn and improve technical skills.
