Job Description

The SMB Associate Account Executive supports in acquiring and managing Small and Medium Business (SMB) accounts. Responsibilities include identifying sales opportunities, documenting client interactions, supporting senior executives, building skills in sales forecasting and partnership strategies, and employing a consultative approach. The role involves managing SMB accounts within a defined territory, identifying cross-selling and up-selling opportunities, documenting client interactions, facilitating communication on customer issues, meeting sales objectives, assisting in developing go-to-market strategies, maintaining account and transaction records, building reports, utilizing a consultative selling approach, providing timely follow-up, and supporting both field and inside sales teams. The position requires foundational understanding of inside and outside sales concepts and practices.

Job Profile Summary: 
The SMB Associate Account Executive is responsible for supporting in acquiring and managing Small and Medium Business (SMB) accounts. They identify sales opportunities, document client interactions, and support senior executives. They focus on building skills for sales forecasting, partnership strategies and consultative approach.
Responsibilities:
  • Supports in managing sales of small and medium business (SMB) accounts in a defined sales territory
  • Builds account management skills to identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within the target accounts
  • Documents all client interactions and shadows senior executives during client consultation
  • Facilitates communication on tactical issues facing customers and resolves customer issues
  • Meets sales objectives and assists in development of “Go to Market Strategy” for partnership  
  • Maintains accounts and transaction records and builds reports based on requirements
  • Utilizes a consultative selling approach to educate channel partners and end-users and provide timely follow-up, closure and tracking of all identified opportunities 
  • Learns and applies sales concepts, principles and practices in assigned activities
  • Gains foundational understanding of inside and outside sales concepts and practices
  • Supports activities in both Field & Inside Sales to achieve productivity and customer satisfaction targets
  • Assists account management team in a task-oriented manner limited to a specific work area

 

 
Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business Administration or equivalent
Experience:
  • 0-1 year of experience in Account Management, Sales, Sales Operations or equivalent
