THE ROLE
The Art Director role requires a candidate that can work in a cross functional team setting. Working closely with the Sr. Art Director, other internal departments and outside vendors, this candidate will manage and support adherence to design guidelines across a variety of large-scale projects in Europe. With an in-depth knowledge of style guides, this candidate is: organized, communicative, detail oriented, a creative problem solver, can provide constructive criticism, and able to manage several tasks at once in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure project development adheres to design guidelines and approval processes.
- Ability to produce consistently high quality 2/3D visualizations adapted from strict design guidelines.
- Ability to quickly convert design issues and feedback into constructive solutions.
- Act as a bridge of communication between the producer the Sr. Art Director.
- Ensure all parties are aligned with communication, design goals, and development.
- Ability to produce consistently for both internal and external needs.
- Ensure and elevate quality control, creation if internal and external guidelines.
- Advocate for sustainability wherever applicable.
- Work with internal and external resources to design, organize, track, communicate and present a variety of 2/3D design elements for presentation, validation and/or production purposes.
- Wholistically develop environmental experiences from client journey, to floorplans, to 3D models, to renderings. Communicate these concepts through presentation and technical drawings.
- Ability to create print-ready graphics adapted from brand guidelines.
- Exhibit creative, innovative, collaborative, and strategic thinking.
- Represent the company, department, and project well both internally and externally.
Ability to stylize, design, communicate and produce environmental experiences.
- Familiarity and adherence to brand and style guidelines across all forms of internal and external output.
- Meet all deadlines and be prompt in meeting attendance.
- Ability work independently, collaboratively and prioritize tasks.
- Can clearly communicate visual information and rationale behind design choices and applications as needed.
Other Duties & Responsibilities
- Follow administrative procedures for timesheets, time off requests, and other HR needs.
- Keep up to date with any deliverables the Project Management team needs for billing purposes.
Travel
Must be adaptable with work and travel schedule and be available to travel for work which may include extended work hours during nights, weekends, and holidays. This position may require up to 25 % travel.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Required Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental design, related field, or equivalent experience required.
- 6+ years’ experience in Event design or related fields such as Architectural/Industrial or Experiential Design.
- Expertise in Sketchup, Layout, AutoCAD or Vectorworks.
- Expertise in rendering software’s, Keyshot/VRay.
- Master of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Portfolio demonstrating strong 2/3D design skills, technical drawings/floorplans, visual storytelling, interior design, and presentation skills.
- Great visual eye for style, branding control, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Keynote
- Excellent communication skills
- Responds constructively to design feedback.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks and take ownership of your workload.
- Excellent timekeeping and work ethic that is characterized by commitment, motivation, and energy.
- Friendly and positive attitude works well with others.
- Ability to communicate in English/Italian (French a plus)
- Clearly communicate visual information and rationale behind design choices and applications as needed.
Preferred Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Event Design or Commercial Architecture
- Additional Craft/production skill a plus
- Additional art skills (illustrative, drawing, sketching, or other methods to convey creative ideas internally and externally)
- Additional Adobe Suite or motion graphics experience a plus
- Experience working on large scale production, campaigns, or events.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with sustainable practices.
Any additional CAD or 3D modeling, rendering, CAD or technical drawing experience a plus.
