Job Description
This internship within the Architecture & Integrated In-House Planning team at Gigafactory Grünheide (Mark) offers a unique opportunity to contribute to process improvements and project work. Responsibilities include analyzing requirements and pricing, coordinating interdisciplinary design, working on cost estimates and value engineering, maintaining supplier relationships, and identifying cost reduction opportunities. Interns will learn about contractual requirements, design and construction planning, and applying project management tools. The role requires understanding design drawings, specifications, and BIM (Building Information Modeling) software like Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD. The internship is full-time, six months long, starting in March 2025.
Must have:
- Relevant degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Manufacturing
- Good knowledge of BIM and experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong technical understanding of design drawings and specifications
- Ability to visualize ideas and improve processes
- Proactive, analytical, problem-solving skills, and teamwork
- Fluency in English
Good to have:
- Fluency in German

- Understanding and being able to apply the principles of taking design and planning via construction into the build status such as contractual requirements for the liability and deliverables of lead consultants
- Providing analysis of existing requirements and pricing to ensure the most cost-effective options
- Learning the interdisciplinary design coordination in accordance to a defined Scope of Work with all consultants
- Being included in the project cost budgets, working on cost estimates and being involved in value engineering to develop a solid understanding of cost drivers
- Learn how to maintain day-to-day supplier relationships
- Identifying and negotiate commercial cost reduction opportunities
- Understanding and responding to supply shortages as part of procurement strategies
- Applying Project Management Tools and processes
- Preferably studying a relevant degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or Manufacturing
- Good knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling) and already experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong technical understanding of design drawings, reports and specifications
- The ability to visualize ideas/designs such as to keep an overview and improve processes
- Capable of working in a fast paced and always changing environment
- Proactive work mentality, analytical mindset and problem-solving oriented and a strong team player
- Fluency in English is a must and in German is considered a plus
