Job Description

As a Senior Zscaler Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Zscaler ZIA and ZPA platforms. Responsibilities include providing in-depth support and troubleshooting, optimizing Zscaler configurations, staying current with platform updates, leading process optimization through automation and IaC, resolving high-priority incidents, providing expert guidance, collaborating cross-functionally, mentoring junior engineers, developing Zscaler-specific training, creating and maintaining documentation, and conducting knowledge-sharing sessions. You will also actively develop the next generation of Zscaler experts within the team. This role requires 5+ years of experience in cloud security/network infrastructure with a focus on Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA).

Must have:

5+ years in cloud security/network infrastructure focusing on Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA)
Senior-level Zscaler platform management expertise
Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and security frameworks
Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and IaC
Proficiency in IT Service Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
Ability to develop junior staff in technical skills, especially Zscaler
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Good to have:

Zscaler certifications (ZIA, ZPA)
Cloud security certifications (AWS, Azure, CISSP, etc.)
Experience in agile environments
Experience creating and delivering technical training programs

Project description

As a Senior Zscaler Engineer you'll lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Zscaler ZIA and ZPA platforms and actively develop the next generation of Zscaler experts within the team.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

Provide in depth support and troubleshooting related to Zscaler-based secure access solutions

Provide technical input shaping product future

Technical Excellence:

Optimize Zscaler configurations for evolving business needs

Stay current with platform updates, recommending improvements

Lead process optimization through automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Problem Solving:

Resolve high-priority L2/L3 incidents

Provide expert guidance on complex issues

Collaboration & Growth:

Work cross-functionally to integrate security solutions

Mentor junior engineers to become proficient in Zscaler support

Develop and deliver Zscaler-specific on the job training

Knowledge Transfer:

Create and maintain documentation for Zscaler best practices

Establish a knowledge base for common Zscaler issues and solutions

Conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions on Zscaler technologies

Skills

Must have

5+ years in cloud security/network infrastructure, focusing on Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA)

Proven senior-level expertise in Zscaler platform management

Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and security frameworks

Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and IaC

Terraform is preferred

Proficiency in IT Service Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow)

Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills

Demonstrated ability to develop junior staff in technical skills, especially Zscaler

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Fluency in English; additional languages beneficial

Nice to have

Zscaler certifications (ZIA, ZPA)

Cloud security certifications (AWS, Azure, CISSP, etc.)

Track record of driving improvements in agile environments

Experience creating and delivering technical training programs
