Job Description

The Vice President of Sales at Sphere Entertainment Co. will spearhead the growth of ad sales and sponsorship revenue. Responsibilities include maximizing revenue through strategic marketing solutions and innovative sales concepts, focusing on international partnerships and selling the Exosphere (largest outdoor LED canvas). The VP will build media and sponsorship partnerships with global brands, develop joint partnership plans across the MSG family of companies, and collaborate with internal teams on a data-driven sales approach. This role requires strong negotiation skills, expertise in brand marketing and sponsorship sales, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will also develop and implement global strategies, driving significant revenue growth. They must be adaptable to changing priorities and skilled at collaborating across teams.

Who are we hiring?  

The Vice President Sales will be an experienced sales professional to grow ad sales and sponsorship revenue and drive commercial opportunities for Sphere Co. The VP will cultivate client relationships with C-suite stakeholders, key decision makers, and their respective agencies. 

What will you do?  

  • Maximize revenue through strategic marketing solutions and innovative sales and marketing concepts focused on international partnerships opportunities.    
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to selling the Exosphere largest outdoor LED canvas in the world, Sponsorship, Official Sponsor naming rights and custom integrations  
  • Focus on building media and sponsorship partnerships with the largest global brands and advertisers  
  • Develop in conjunction with Strategy team, a plan to address joint partnerships across the MSG Family of Companies including Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, The Beacon Theater and The Chicago Theatre.  
  • Collaborate with various internal teams to implement and develop data-driven sales approach and maximize efficiency in the sales process.  
  • Strategically utilize outward facing activities and time with prospects.  
  • Build and cultivate external networks and relationships.  
  • Optimize corporate revenue by surfacing the largest opportunities with Partnership as the hub.  
  • Deliver collaborative efforts involving external creative agencies, technical driven creative and experiential brands.  
  • Focus efforts on inventory and strategies designed to maximize revenue streams for Sphere Co and cross collaboration with the MSG Family of Companies.   

 

What do you need to succeed?  

  • 10+ years direct sales experience and at least 5+ years working in an entrepreneurial environment 
  • Seasoned negotiator and relationship builder with a proven record of negotiating complex, multi—product, multi-year deals that exceed aggressive revenue targets  
  • Extensive knowledge of brand marketing and sponsorship sales, preferably in live entertainment 
  • Expertise working with creative agencies and experiential brands 
  • Strong cross-functional leader who can partner with internal and external clients  
  • Previous experience delivering global strategy and high-impact growth initiatives. 
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and open to learning new ways of working. 
  • Ability to embrace change with a flexible mindset, even if the way forward isn’t clear. 
  • Ability to be a reliable team member, capable of effective collaboration to achieve our shared goals across teams and departments. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. 
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Ability to support quality decision making by utilizing data and metrics. 

 

Special Requirements  

  • This role is based in New York. 
  • Travel is required based off the work.

Pay Range
$250,000$300,000 USD
